The Southeast Missouri Regional Arthritis Center (SEMORAC) is one of seven such regional arthritis centers established by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
The center is designed to offer arthritis education programs to the community members, allied health professionals and physicians. The Regional Arthritis Center is located in a new state of the art Health and Wellness Center on the Saint Francis Medical Center Campus in Cape Girardeau.
The SEMORAC serves an 18 county area including: Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, Iron, Madison, Mississippi,New Madrid, Oregon, Pemiscot, Perry, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard and Wayne.
The mission of the Missouri Arthritis and Osteoporosis Program and the Regional Arthritis Centers is to reduce the burden of rheumatic disease by promoting optimal health and quality of life for all Missourians affected by arthritis, rheumatic disease and related musculoskeletal conditions through prevention, early intervention, education, service and collaboration.
